Project Unity Looking at immediate family needs, to fill gap until long term arrangements can be made. 15,000 pounds of food from the Brazos Food Bank was distributed from the Project Unity site to hotels; Case management services ongoing

Can openers, toothpaste, tooth brushes, hygiene supplies, medications, mattresses, clothes, orientation to the community for evacuees, counseling for them, as well as their local families which may receive family members plus others (feeling dumped on).

Visitors Bureau

Compiles listing of hotels/rates/availability and information of where lost people are staying for use for families to contact. Web-site will be updated.

Ask media to contact the Chamber/Visitors’ Bureau for updates and info

Brazos Food Bank, Brazos Church Pantry, Salvation Army

15,000 pounds of food (850 bags) have been given to Project Unity. Non-perishables needed for distribution at drop off sites (coordinating with Project Unity).
